The Sydney Roosters could announce Indigenous Women’s All Stars coach Dean Widders as their inaugural NRL women's coach.
Widders, who is a former rugby league player with the Roosters, Eels and Rabbitohs, has been highly involved with women's side of the game.

He has been involved with the Redfern All Blacks in recent years but also coached the Indigenous Women’s All Star team to their first ever win in 2017.

Currently, Widders holds a position with the NRL as the Indigenous Pathways manager but the Daily Telegraph has reported that he has been cleared and the Roosters are likely to make an announcement soon.
He will become the last coach of an NRL Women's team after the St George Illawarra Dragons announced Daniel Lacey, the Brisbane Broncos announced Paul Dyer and the New Zealand Warriors have former New Zealand captain Luisa Avaiki as inaugural coaches in late March.
