Record Store Day brought hundreds of vinyl lovers to Nottingham, with some queuing through the night to get their hands on more than 500 limited edition and special releases.

Music fans had been waiting in line outside Hockley's Rough Trade since 2pm on Friday in the hope of getting into the shop as soon as doors opened at 6am on Saturday.

The annual event celebrates the culture of independent record shops across the UK, bringing together around 200 stores that host live music, DJ sets and special events to mark the occasion.
Kyle Hougham, general manager of Rough Trade, expected this year's event to be the biggest yet.

The 31-year-old from the Broad Street store, said: "We had around a hundred people outside at midnight queuing through the night.

"It will be a few thousand during the day and those numbers are our biggest yet on our fourth Record Store Day."
