Notre Dame captain Jake Evans scored with 5.2 seconds left to break a 3-3 tie. Evans took a pass from Cam Morrison and beat Michigan goaltender Hayden Lavigne five-hole.

Michigan lost, 4-3, on Thursday night in a Frozen Four semifinal at the Xcel Energy Center.
Cal Burke snapped a 2-2 tie at 1:35 of the third period and strutted on his skates after giving Notre Dame its first lead. Dylan Malmquist sent a pass up to a streaking Burke, who slipped around U-M defenseman Sam Piazza and then poked in his 14th goal goal of the season.

The Wolverines had a power play chance after Jack Jenkins was whistled for hooking Quinn Hughes at 8:15 of the third period. Notre Dame goaltender Cale Morris slid across the crease to rob senior captain Tony Calderone on a one-timer from the left circle.

But a flurry of shots a few minutes later ended with freshman forward Michael Pastujov tying the game for Michigan. Pastujov knocked with 5:22 left in the third for his fifth goal of the season.
