And on Friday, Australia's Foreign Minister Julie Bishop jokingly gave the duo's sneaky plan her seal of approval.
Clearly a fan of the Pop A Bottle singer, Bishop said: 'Jessica’s magnificent, she deserves to win!'

According to Eurovision rules, viewers and national jurors can't vote for their own country.
In a call to Ireland's leading breakfast radio show Jim Jim & Nobby, Jackie 'O' Henderson said: 'You guys will broadcast to your audience to vote for Australia and we will tell our whole audience to vote for Ireland.'
Julie then suggested: 'We need a plan B. We’re going to have to find another country where we do another deal with them. Don’t tell the Irish.'
Continuing with a laugh: 'What I might do is put out a message to all 117 Australian posts overseas and get them to start promoting Jessica Mauboy and make sure we get a vote from every other country that we can.'
'Are we going to tell all those countries that we’re voting for them? This could backfire on us (when) they all find out,' said Jackie.
'This is politics! It’s international politics,' said Julie, to much laughter in the studio. 'You’ve just go to hold your breath and go for it.'
